Celebrate At-Risk Youth, Soccer During 2019 Golden Goals
Proceeds benefit the Aztecas program, which uses soccer to help reclaim the lives of at-risk youth.

The Aztecas Youth Soccer Academy invites the public to experience great music, local food and beverages to help celebrate the Aztecas' inspiring successes and dreams for our community at the 5th annual Golden Goals Celebration & Auction.

A variety of auction items will be available benefitting the Aztecas program, which uses soccer to help reclaim the lives of at-risk youth. Golden Goals proceeds will support the Aztecas' mission and operations. Tickets are $50 and include dinner and drinks.
Attendees will be inspired by talks by Program Founder and Director Gina Castenda, Santa Cruz County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Faris Sabbah, and Olympic Development Coach German Plaza. Azteca Program youth and mentors will also be present to share their stories of making positive change in themselves, their homes and their communities.
Aztecas players, many of whom were involved with gangs and the juvenile justice system, receive high-quality soccer training and compete year-round in local indoor and outdoor leagues. The Aztecas also hold annual soccer camps for local youths. The Aztecas are a program of the Santa Cruz County Probation Department, and have been featured on ESPN and in other major media outlets.
