The Tannery World Dance and Cultural Center has partnered with the Santa Cruz Public Libraries to bring the experience of the Santa Cruz Ethnic Dance Festival to families throughout the county. Learn dance, music, history and culture from around the world with the Ethnic Dance Festival Artists! These free Festival Family Day Workshops take place on Saturdays beginning on August 29th and lead up to the main 2015 Ethnic Dance Festival happening September 19th and 20th. All Festival Family Day Workshops take place from 11:00am - 12:00pm

Hawaiian Style

Grab your grass skirts, kick off your shoes and be prepared to have some fun! Leolani of the Hula School of Santa Cruz will be sharing songs and dances of Hawaii for kids of all ages. Learn a few Hawaiian songs and basic hand and feet movements. There will also be a demonstration of the different instruments used in hula. Join us and experience the lore of the Hawaiian culture.
