Deputies Arrest Couple Who Allegedly Brought Toddler Along on Robberies

Three women were robbed at gunpoint in Capitola and Live Oak, according to deputies.

Deputies arrested a Watsonville couple Wednesday morning on suspicion of three robberies that took place while their toddler was with them, sheriff’s officials said today.

Officers arrested Antonio Bravo, 20, at 10:15 a.m. at the intersection of Roberta and Arroyo drives, Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Lt. Kelly Kent said.

Officers arrested his girlfriend Diana Pacheco at 10:15 a.m. nearby in the 700 block of Green Valley Road, Kent said.

The robberies took place on Aug. 22 at gunpoint in Live Oak and Capitola, sheriff’s officials said.

The couple robbed three women of their purses and then used at least one of the victim’s credit cards to buy items at several businesses, deputies said.

Deputies were able to get a description of the car and a picture of its license plate when it went through a drive-thru at a store, sheriff’s officials said. Pacheco drove the car and deputies arrested her on suspicion of identity theft and child endangerment, according to sheriff’s officials.

Deputies arrested Bravo on suspicion of two counts of robbery, identity theft, child endangerment and conspiracy, sheriff’s officials said. Deputies booked both into the county jail, according to sheriff’s officials.
