Downed Power Lines Prompt Soquel Road Closure

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Downed power lines have prompted the California Highway Patrol to close Soquel San Jose Road in both directions this morning. Drivers are asked to avoid the area. The CHP says alternate routes are Highway 17 to Laurel Glen or N. Rodeo Gulch to Laurel Glen.

The road will likely remain closed until about noon while crews work to repair the lines, according to CHP. No other information is available.
