"He [the driver of the red mustang] pulled out from Melton Street, going north in front of Mercedes and the Mercedes hit him broadside," said Cliff.
It is unknown where the driver, whose name has not been released, was driving from, or whether this is his first DUI charge.
According to emergency radio traffic, smoke was seen coming from both cars, but Sgt. Sloma attributed thar to the air bags, which deployed in both vehicles.
Both vehicles suffered "moderate damage," according to Sgt. Sloma.
