The Aptos Farmers Market will be celebrating its 35th Anniversary on Saturday, July 23, 8 am until 12 pm. Special events will include complimentary cake from Aptos vendor Catering Magik; a face-painting station ($2 to $5 a face); free balloon designs by Jimmy the Balloon Man of Adventure in Balloons; and a special live local radio broadcast, 9-10 am with Michael Olson of KSCO. Hooded market sweatshirts ($35) also will be available.
Colorful commemorative posters by award winning local artist Liz Lyons Friedman will also be for sale ($15). Liz will be on hand to sign posters.
