Fill 'er Up: Gas Prices Fall Seven Cents
We're into fall and seeing a decline in prices once again.
The average price at the pump in Capitola and Soquel fell 7¢ over the last seven days, making a trip to the gas station about 88¢ less expensive than it was a week ago on a standard tank.
For the first time since we started keeping track in the spring, the 76 station in Soquel has the cheapest prices in town at $3.69 per gallon, down 20¢ from last week. Meanwhile, USA Gasoline and Quik Stop in Soquel as well as Capitola's USA Gasoline remain the other cheap options.
Prices bottomed out the first week of July at an average price of $3.74. Leading up to Labor day, they rose again to near $4, but have since began to plunge again with the arrival of fall.
