Fugitive Friday: Two Cold Case Murder Suspects
Sheriff's detectives hauled out some old files this week in hopes of tracking down two homicide suspects.
It's time for the weekly peek at some of the county's most-wanted criminals.

SHERIFF'S OFFICE
Oscar Amezcua Cabrera
AGE: 35
DESCRIPTION: 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes
HOME: unknown
WARRANT: Murder. He shot and killed a man in Watsonville in 2006. Authorities have been unable to find Cabrera and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. Cabrera should be considered armed and dangerous.

SHERIFF'S OFFICE
Miguel Ramirez Loza
AGE: 35
DESCRIPTION: 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes
HOME: unknown
WARRANT: Murder. Loza is wanted for the murder of Jessica Sheridan, age 19, in 2003. Investigators believe he initially fled to Mexico though there have been several unconfirmed sightings of Loza in the Santa Cruz Area. Loza is considered armed and dangerous.

Alejandro Alonzo
AGE: 28
DESCRIPTION: 6 feet, 4 inches tall and 240 pounds with black hair and brown eyes
HOME: Watsonville
WARRANT:Felony theft and gang participation. He was convicted but failed to comply with the terms of his probation.

CAPITOLA POLICE
Amanda Sloan
AGE: 30
DESCRIPTION: 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 140 pounds with brown hair and green eyes
HOME: Soquel
WARRANT: Attempted murder on a peace officer. Sunday, a Capitola police officer stopped a BMW driven by Sloan. Sloan refused to cooperate with the officer and sped away from the traffic stop. Officers pursued Sloan until she shot a gun at the officer through the sun roof of her vehicle. Officer lost visual of the vehicle and have requested a warrant for her arrest. Sloan has history of violence against peace officers and should be considered armed and dangerous. She is the widow of Jeff Smith, the man fatally shot in Soquel in August.
