Get Your Fire Burning Before April 30
CAL Fire has announced the impending end of open burning for the season.

The clock is ticking to burn that debris sitting in your yard. CAL FIRE announced Thursday that Open Burn Season will come to a close on April 30 in Santa Cruz County.
According to a CAL FIRE news release, "hazard reduction burning will be allowed after the 30th but only if burn piles are kept within posted guidelines and require a Hazard Reduction Permit from the regional Air Pollution Control District."
When Fire Season is declared for the summer, only campfires will be allowed.

Following all fire guidelines is imperative, as according to CAL FIRE, "it is (your) individual responsibility to use fire safely and to prevent fires that destroy lives, property and our wildland."
