FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK
• SEE LIVING HISTORY AT WILDER RANCH STATE PARK
Where/When: Wilder Ranch State Park, two miles north of Santa Cruz, on Highway 1, Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Why Go: See history come alive. Come for a stroll or picnic on the lawn, and you may get a glimpse into the life of a 1900 dairy rancher in Santa Cruz County. Watch a master quilter inside the 1897 Victorian Home or taste delicious treats baked in an old-fashioned wood burning stove.

• STUDENT DANCERS: RANDOM WITH A PURPOSE
Where/When: UC-Santa Cruz campus, Theater Arts, Second Stage; Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., Sunday at 3 p.m.
Why Go: Student performances featuring contemporary, jazz, blues fusion, street, tap and hip-hop works. Something for everyone.
Pricing: $10-$11 for tickets
• NATURAL BRIDGES MIGRATION FESTIVAL
Where/When: Natural Bridges State Park, Highway 1, Moss Landing Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Why Go: Celebrate the natural beauty of Natural Bridges State Park at the annual Migration Festival. Say farewell to migratory butterflies and make discoveries about many animals that migrate from whales to newts to birds.

• CAPITOLA HISTORICAL MUSEUM TOUR
Where/When: Capitola Historical Museum, 410 Capitola Ave., Friday, Saturday or Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Because you and your children should get to know something about the fascinating history of the place you call home.

• SUNDAY FAMILY FUN CRAFTS
Where/When: Live Oak Branch, Santa Cruz Public Library, 2380 Portola Dr., Sunday, 1-4 p.m.
Why go: Don't make your arts and crafts mess at home. Do it at the library. And do your project in the company of others. Definitely more fun. All are welcome to drop in for some free, arts and crafts projects with the library staff. Materials will be provided.
