Man Accused Of Sleeping In Stolen Car Runs From Deputies
Authorities are looking for Sean Oliver, who has a warrant out for his arrest.
SANTA CRUZ, CA — Deputies in Santa Cruz County are looking for a man who allegedly ran from them after he was discovered sleeping inside a stolen car parked on Noble Drive Friday morning. The man, later identified as Sean Oliver, started the stolen white Mercedes and rammed one of the sheriff’s department cars, hit a tree and wall before escaping, the sheriff's office said.
Deputies searched the neighborhood near Sherman and King streets after finding the abandoned car a short time later. Oliver was never found and is on the run, according to authorities.
Officials said Oliver has a felony warrant out for his arrest and will be charged with suspicion of evading an officer, possessing a stolen car, vandalism, and possession of drugs for sales.
