Pacific Cove Residents to Fight for Relocation Compensation

With the closure of Pacific Cove Mobile Home Park looming, a public hearing is on the agenda of Thursday's Capitola City Council meeting.

The Capitola City Council is set to meet Thursday evening for the first time in 2012, marking in his second (non-consecutive) term. 

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m., rather than the usual 7 p.m. start time to make room for a public hearing on the , which was heavily damaged in the .

  • Susan Sneddon will be introduced as the new city clerk, replacing Pam Greeninger, who retired at the end of 2011 after 37 years of service to the City of Capitola.
  • Pacific Cove Mobile Home residents will argue their case in front of the council in a public hearing to fight to be properly compensated for their losses in relocation. 
  • Two councilmembers will be designated to sit on the Feb. 3 interview panel for the recruitment of a new police chief.
  • Mayor Termini will nominate one councilmember to serve on the Capitola Public Safety and Community Service Foundation.
