A person died late Saturday when they were pinned underneath a truck in a collision with a pole, guy wire and another vehicle, according to California Highway Patrol records and officials.
The incident occurred at about 11:15 p.m. at 723 Lakeview Road near Watsonville in unincorporated Santa Cruz County, CHP officials said.
When first responders arrived on the scene, they found the person not breathing and turning pale, according to CHP records.
