PHOTOS: Soquel Drive Hosts Homecoming Parade
The Knights of SHS filled Soquel Village on Friday afternoon.
The center of Soquel Village was filled with blue and gold Friday afternoon for the Homecoming Parade.
Led by the band, the parade covered Soquel Drive from Daubenbiss Avenue to Porter Street. The road was lined with other students, parents, teachers and curious shop owners — everyone with a camera in hand.
The parade included about a dozen decorated cars — some for teams or groups, others for general school spirit. The girls volleyball team sported an enormous inflated volleyball among its decorations. Balloons and streamers covered cars and trucks. There was even a golf cart and a blue and gold decorated couch on wheels.

The parade preceded the 7:30 football game against San Lorenzo Vlley (a 28-14 win), where parts of the afternoon event were re-enacted. On Saturday, there will be a homecoming dance where the king and queen are set to be honored.
