Pipe Repairs Completed in Time for Predicted Thunder and Hail
The pipe that caused the floods has been fully repaired.

After more than, city crews and Granite Construction have completed replacement work on the burst pipe that caused in March.
According to an official release from the city of Capitola, "the conveyance capacity of the pipe under Pacific Cove Mobile Home Park is equal to what it was prior to the pipe failure." Regardless, Capitola remains a flood-prone area, in which residents and business owners should continue to monitor storm alerts.
While pipe replacement has come to an end, according to the release, "Granite crews will remain on-site over the next week back-filling ... the area."

It appears the work came to a close just in time, as rain and thunderstorms are predicted to last throughout the evening.
