Robbers Beat Clerk With Baseball Bat
The Watsonville store was robbed by two Hispanic men Sunday night.

Police are investigating an assault and robbery at a Watsonville market. Officers responded at 9:31 p.m. Sunday to the La Tiendita Market at 675 Rodriquez St. after receiving a call of a robbery at the business, according to the Watsonville Police Department.
Police said the suspects assaulted the clerk with a bat and robbed the store, fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police said the suspects entered the store, one pulled a bat and attacked the clerk with the bat while demanding money. The second man went to the register and took the cash before both fled the store.

The clerk suffered several injuries to the head and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The suspects are described as an 18-year-old Hispanic man, with a thin build and about 5 feet 4 inches tall and a 20-year-old Hispanic male with a thin build about 5 feet 6 inches tall.
