Shark Advisory Issued After Sighting Near Seascape

Santa Cruz County Sheriff's deputies logged reports of a 10-foot shark swimming about 30 feet from shore.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA – The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office notified the public and posted warning signs Thursday after receiving reports of a 10-foot shark swimming about 30 feet from shore below the Seascape Beach Resort in Aptos.

Deputies notified Seascape employees, placed the warning signs along the beach and at the trail-heads in the area, and advised residents to use caution in the water.
