Among the cheapest gas in town is that from Safeway on Soquel Drive in Aptos. But according to KGO-TV, that could soon change as a small chain of gas stations has brought a suit against Safeway, claiming that they are illegally selling gas below market price. The argument is that Safeway could drive smaller stations out of business, allowing it to increase prices with competition out of the way. See the KGO-TV news report above.
