Serial Indecent Exposure Suspect Arrested

The Live Oak man is wanted in connection with incidents throughout Santa Cruz County dating back to 2013.

A Live Oak man was arrested Friday in connection with a series of indecent exposure incidents in the area around Moran Lake Park, according to Santa Cruz County sheriff’s office officials.

Erik Finsand, 21, was arrested today in connection with incidents dating back to October 2013, when an unidentified male was first seen masturbating on a running trail near Moran Lagoon and Lode Street, officials said.

In one of the reported incidents, the suspect allegedly followed a 42-year-old female jogger from Santa Cruz.

Finsand was identified as a suspect after investigators released surveillance footage to the public, generating several tips.

Finsand has confessed to all the Moran Lagoon incidents and several other unreported cases elsewhere, according to sheriff’s office officials.

He was arrested on suspicion of five counts of indecent exposure and lewd acts and his bail was set at $10,000.
