Shots Fired In Watsonville Neighborhood; Cops Seek Possible Victim and Suspects

The incident was reported Sunday night.

Police are seeking suspects, as well as a victim, after police received reports of a shooting in Watsonville Sunday night.

At 9:54 p.m., officers responded to reports of numerous shots heard on the 200 block of Green Meadow Drive, police said. When officers arrived, they spoke to residents and were able to locate evidence of a shooting nearby, including more than 10 spent shell casings, according to police. Officers then began looking in the neighborhood and speaking with several residents, police said.

Officers learned that a dark colored sedan had allegedly pulled up alongside a pedestrian.

The car’s passenger asked the pedestrian where he was from. Shortly after, shot were fired, according to police. Police were unable to locate the victim and the suspects. Police are investigating the incident as gang-related.
