Venue Change For Aptos Village Meeting

From Santa Cruz Co.: The venue for upcoming bilingual meetings about Aptos Village Measure J units has been changed. The new venue is:
Simpkins Family Swim Center
979 17th Ave., Santa Cruz
● English 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
● Spanish 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
The application deadline for the first five of 10 deed-restricted available units in the Aptos Village Project is May 18. The 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom homes will be available to first- time homebuyers with household earnings at or below 120 percent of area median income. A random drawing for priority purchase of the first five units will be held June 1.

The available units include four 1-bedroom and one 2-bedroom units. Construction on Phase 2, which will include five more units, is not yet underway. The units are being provided through Measure J, Santa Cruz County's inclusionary housing program, which has provided more than 500 units of affordable housing since its passage in 1978.
