Watch "The Goonies" For Free At Heart of Soquel Park

The 1985 classic about a group of misfit friends who set out to find a treasure in order to save their home.

From The County of Santa Cruz: The County of Santa Cruz and Supervisor John Leopold is proud to present the second installment of its summer movie series at the Heart of Soquel Park, "The Goonies."

The 1985 classic about a group of misfit friends who set out to find a treasure in order to save their home begins at dusk on Thursday, June 21. Beginning at 7 p.m., a neighborhood block party precedes the screening with free treats from Star of Siam restaurant, live entertainment, an appearance by Santa Cruz Warriors mascot Mav'Riks and other surprises.

The event is free and open to the public. Viewers are encouraged to bring blankets or low- backed chairs, and are welcome to pack a picnic.

"Family Movie Night" runs every third Thursday of the month through October, and includes family-friendly films such as "Despicable Me 3" and "Black Panther." For more information, click here.
