CARLSBAD, CA — Legoland California Resort's second annual Lego Festival opened Monday, bringing interactive play zones, live entertainment and hands-on building activities to the Carlsbad theme park through Aug. 30.
The festival transforms the park into a celebration of creativity, featuring five themed zones designed to encourage families to build, play and explore together.
"We're thrilled to bring Lego Festival back for its second year," Kurt Stocks, president of Legoland California Resort, said in a statement. "The event transforms the park into an immersive, multi-zone celebration where kids take the lead through creativity and play with hands-on building experiences and live entertainment to unforgettable encounters with Lego characters."
This year's festival features Music, Creative, Chill-Out, Thrill and Play zones.
Guests can watch the "Battle of the Bands" show, help build a large festival mosaic and meet Lego characters in the Music Zone. The Creative Zone offers brick-building activities and model-building sessions led by master builders, while the Chill-Out Zone includes a Lego Botanicals activity and the "Playtime with Hopsy" stage show.
The event also includes the brand-new Play Zone featuring Lego Pokémon and Lego F1 Thrill Zone.
Visitors can also take part in the "3 Build Challenge" by completing building activities throughout the park. Guests who collect at least three stamps can receive a Lego Creator gift while supplies last.
The event is included with general admission.
The festival also features themed food, specialty drinks, exclusive merchandise and access to more than 60 rides, shows and attractions throughout the theme park.
