CARLSBAD, CA — More than 150 artists will showcase paintings, sculptures, photography, jewelry and other works during ArtWalk Carlsbad on Sept. 19 and 20.
The free outdoor festival will take place above the Flower Fields, offering ocean views along with live music, food vendors and interactive art activities for children.
The seventh annual event will feature artists from across San Diego County, the United States and Mexico. Attendees can purchase artwork directly from participating artists.
KidsWalk will offer hands-on art activities for families throughout the weekend.
The event will be fenced, allowing attendees age 21 and older to enjoy beer and wine while walking throughout the festival area.
"With some of the best views in the county, ArtWalk Carlsbad offers an outdoor art lovers experience unlike any other," Curt Brooker, director of ArtWalk San Diego, said in a statement.
"Attendees can purchase artwork directly from the fine artists, with beautiful coastal views, along with live entertainment, interactive family-friendly activities and great food and drinks."
ArtWalk Carlsbad will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 19 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 20. Admission is free.
The event is produced by ArtWalk San Diego, which also organizes art festivals in San Diego's Little Italy and Liberty Station.
A portion of proceeds from ArtWalk San Diego events supports ArtReach San Diego, a nonprofit that provides free or low-cost visual arts education programs to K-8 schools in San Diego County.
