Miss Emily Susan Matlock Weds Mr. Ryan Patrick Beason

Miss Emily Susan Matlock and Mr. Ryan Patrick Beason were united in marriage on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at four o'clock in the afternoon at Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Santa Ana, California. The Reverend Roger A. Harwerth of First Presbyterian Church, Pendleton, Oregon officiated the ceremony. The bride's parents hosted a seated dinner and reception at The Santa Ana Elks Lodge, Santa Ana, California.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack & Annette Matlock of Pendleton, Oregon. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert & Lisa Beason of Valley Center, California and Mr. & Mrs. Brent & Laura Little of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless classic A-line Enzoani gown of ivory satin embellished with crystal beading on the bodice.  The fingertip veil was designed and made by her aunt, Linda Dorsey.  It was of ivory tulle that cascaded from a bun comb of ivory satin roses from the nape of her neck. The bride carried a hand-tied, ivory satin laced stem bouquet of light green hydrangeas and hot pink garden roses.

Miss Jamie Derry of Boise, Idaho served as Maid of Honor.  Mrs. Haley Pullen of Pendleton, Oregon served as Matron of Honor.  Bridesmaids included Miss Jocelyn Short, Miss Jessie Little, and sister of the Groom, Miss Christine Quinn and Miss Lauren Kipps. The Maid and Matron of Honor wore cocktail-length gowns in light green taffeta and the bridesmaids wore cocktail-length gowns in light brown taffeta. Each carried a hand-tied bouquet of mini green hydrangeas, hot pink carnations and mini bright green button flowers wrapped in brown and pink polka dot grosgrain ribbon.

Mr. Jacob Beason, brother of the Groom, of Valley Center, California served as Best Man.  Kyle Rohlinger, cousin of the Groom, served as the Ring bearer.  Groomsmen included Mr. Mitch Little, brother of the Groom, Mr. Jeremy Chambers, Mr. Troy Barker, Mr. Mike Atiba, Mr. Teddy Tillman, Mr. Tommy Tillman, and Mr. Wesley Matlock, brother of the Bride.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Pendleton High School in Pendleton, Oregon. She graduated from The College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Music, and received her Master’s in Teaching from the University of California Irvine in 2011.  She now teaches third grade at Calvary Christian School in Boise, Idaho.  The groom is a 2004 graduate of Carlsbad High School in Carlsbad, California.  He graduated from The University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies.  He plans to earn his Idaho teaching credential.  He is currently a manager for GameStop in Boise, Idaho.

Following their honeymoon in the Southern Caribbean, Emily and Ryan reside in Boise, Idaho.
