Authorities Seek To ID Woman Fatally Struck By Train In North County
Investigators were not able to identify her with fingerprints.

CARLSBAD, CA — Authorities asked for the public's help in identifying a woman who was hit and killed by a train in northern San Diego County.
The unidentified woman was struck at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 12 near the Carlsbad Boulevard bridge by a northbound Coaster commuter train in Carlsbad, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office. She died at the scene.
The woman, believed to be white and between 50 and 60 years old, was about 110 pounds and 5 feet 3 inches tall, according to the Medical Examiner's Office. She had brown eyes and curly brown hair.

The woman also had a distinct text or script tattoo on her left forearm, Medical Examiner Investigator Jennifer Wright said.
Investigators were not able to identify her with fingerprints.

A forensic sketch artist created a drawing of the woman. Authorities also provided a photograph of the woman's tattoo.
Anyone who recognizes the woman was asked to contact the Investigations Unit of the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office at 858-694-2905 and reference case number 2024-02413.
