CARLSBAD, CA — Summer is almost over and school is around the corner. That's why back-to-school planning has already begun in Carlsbad, with a calendar available to help parents prepare for the first day of school in Carlsbad Unified School District.

The first day of school is Aug. 23 for students in Carlsbad Unified School District.
