Boys Basketball Playoff Pairings Announced
La Costa Canyon earns the top seed in Division I, with action beginning on Wednesday.
La Costa Canyon High is the top-seeded team in Division I of the San Diego Section CIF boys basketball playoffs and will host Escondido High on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
LCC, which finished the regular season 23-4, shared the Avocado West League title with Rancho Buena Vista (23-4). Both were 7-1 in league play. San Dieguito Academy (10-18) visits University City (12-13) in Division III andArmy-Navy (14-11) will host Preuss (10-13) in Division IV in other first-round games involving area schools.
Other top seeds include Lincoln (25-1) in Division II, St. Augustine (21-6) in Division III, Francis Parker (19-7) in Division IV and Horizon (14-11) in Division V.
