Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation Discovery Gala 2026 – “DC Disco”

This year’s Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation’s Discovery Gala 2026, themed “DC Disco,” and celebrating the 20^th anniversary of the Discovery Campus, will be from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29 at the Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa, 5480 Grand Pacific Drive, Carlsbad. Neda Iranpour, Emmy award-winning journalist, will emcee the event. Rick Grove, retired Assistant Superintendent of Personnel Services for the Carlsbad Unified School District, will be the auctioneer.

The gala will include a delectable three-course dinner followed by a program and live auction. Guests will enjoy the after-party dancing on an LED light up dance floor, exploring the 70’s sweet-themed candy bar or visiting a caricature artist and handwriting analysis expert.

Festivities include an online silent auction beginning August 14 at 8 a.m. and ending August 20 at 8 p.m.

This year’s community minded honoree, the Rotary Club of Carlsbad, will be recognized for their volunteerism and service which directly supports environmental stewardship, education, and public access efforts at the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation.

Ticket prices range from $345 for non-VIP steward members to $480 for VIP potential members. Proceeds will provide continued support for the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation's award-winning environmental education programs and operations of the Discovery Campus.
