Public speaking shows up everywhere, whether you realize it's happening or not: in a work presentation, a job interview, a client pitch, a podcast, or a 60-second video you're trying to post with confidence instead of dread. Carlsbad-Oceanside Toastmasters (Club 47) exists to help people get better at all of it, on purpose, in a room that wants to see them succeed.
On Wednesday, September 9, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, the club is hosting a free, open-to-the-public open house at its regular meeting location, Carlsbad by the Sea (2855 Carlsbad Blvd, Carlsbad). Guests are invited to sit in on a real meeting — prepared speeches, spontaneous "Table Topics" conversation, supportive peer feedback, and members practicing leadership roles in real time — no experience, cost, or obligation to speak required.
Chartered in 1971, this North County club has spent more than five decades helping members find their voice: quieting nerves, sharpening how they think on their feet, and building the kind of everyday confidence that carries into a boardroom, an interview chair, or a microphone. Whether you're polishing a career skill or just want to feel less rattled the next time all eyes turn to you, come see what a genuinely encouraging room sounds like.
