Pacific Ridge School has partnered with the League of Women Voters North County to host a nonpartisan Pros &amp; Cons ballot Primer to help families prepare for the 2026 election. The presentation will provide background on the 14 state propositions on the November 3 ballot, explain what each measure would do, outline potential fiscal effects, and summarize the arguments presented by supporters and opponents. The event will be held in Community Hall.

Alga Norte Community Park

Calling all superheroes to take on the challenge of the City of Carlsbad’s Super Hero Obstacle Race.
Dress up like your favorite super hero at Carlsbad's Super Hero Obstacle Race at Alga Norte Community Park. Parents and children run together through a super hero themed 2K obstacle course.
Defeat villains while leaping over tall buildings, crawl through toxic tunnels and navigate 20 obstacles throughout the park. Conquer inflatable mazes and slides, wrecking balls, tights ropes, web crawlers and other obstacles along the way.
<ul><li>Registration is $33 per person.</li><li>Participants must be 4 years and older.</li><li>Groups will be launched every 10 minutes. The race will take approximately one hour to complete. You can pick a start time that works for you.</li><li>Registration is open until 5 p.m. the Friday before the event or at the event until 9:30 a.m., if it is not sold out.</li><li>Participants will receive the following: race logo'd super hero cape, bib number, finishing medal.</li></ul>
