Carlsbad Educational Foundation Offers $45K In Scholarships

The foundation is partnering with the Judith Campbell Educational and Community Foundation​ to award nine scholarships this year.

CARLSBAD, CA — The Carlsbad Educational Foundation announced that $45,000 in scholarships are available for eligible high school seniors this year, the highest amount the nonprofit organization has ever awarded.

The foundation is partnering with the Judith Campbell Educational and Community Foundation to award nine scholarships to high school seniors in the Carlsbad Unified School District. Applicants must be pursuing higher education at a university, college, technical or vocational school.

"This is the highest amount ever awarded in senior scholarships from Carlsbad Educational Foundation in a single year," said Laura Pitts, CEO of the Carlsbad Educational Foundation. "We are grateful to provide this generous opportunity in partnership with the Judith Campbell Educational and Community Foundation to help youth in our community pursue their dreams."

This year's scholarships include:

  • $15,000 from the Judith Campbell Educational and Community Foundation
  • $10,000 from the Judith Campbell Educational and Community Foundation
  • $5,000 from the Carlsbad Educational Foundation
  • $2,500 (six available) from the Carlsbad Educational Foundation

One-third of the scholarships will be awarded specifically to need-based applicants. Applications must be received by April 30.
