Season Extended At Carlsbad Flower Fields

CARLSBAD, CA — If you haven't yet visited the colorful flowers at The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch, you have a second chance. The Flower Fields has extended its season for an extra week.

The season was set to end on Mother's Day but will now run through May 15, the team at The Flower Fields announced Monday.

There are roughly 14 acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus still in bloom. The Sea of Sunflowers, a five-acre patch featuring all colors, shapes and sizes of sunflowers, is also in peak bloom.

"It's a rare occurrence but thanks to Mother Nature and her cooler spring weather, it has extended our blooming season," the announcement said.

Extended season tickets are on sale for 50 percent off the usual price. Tickets cost $11 for adults, $10 for seniors and military, and $5 for children ages 3-10. Admission is free for children under 3.
