CARLSBAD, CA — The city of Carlsbad is seeking nominations for Citizen of the Year.
The annual award honors residents who have provided outstanding service to the community. In its 57th year, the Citizen of the Year program recognizes community members who have given their time and energy toward the civic improvement, beautification and betterment of the city.
Honorees are selected by a five-person committee of residents and recognized during a ceremony at Carlsbad City Hall. The committee is appointed by the mayor.

The deadline for nominations is April 5. Nomination forms are available on the city's website and at City Hall at 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive.
