We hope students are keeping up with their learning! As shared previously, we’ve developed Extended Learning Activities for every grade level for the days between now and spring break (which begins on April 6). For those students wanting more, we’ve also included an Additional Resources tab, an Offline Learning tab, and a Self-Directed Learning Challenge. One of the characteristics listed in our Graduate Profile is “self-directed individual” - we hope that students and families are taking advantage of the resources we’ve shared. We will continue to develop our online learning plans and will provide additional updates in the near future.

We will continue to offer meal service at Jefferson Elementary (3743 Jefferson St., Carlsbad CA 92008) from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Here is a list of all schools serving meals in San Diego County. Any student age 2 to 18 can go to any school site providing meals and receive food during this period of school closures due to COVID-19. Due to federal requirements for food service, a student must be present in order for families to pick up meals.

We continue to update our district COVID-19 webpage with important information, including a copy of each of the previous messages we’ve sent out. We also continue to provide regular updates to our list of Frequently Asked Questions.

Please remember to practice social distancing! We know that this is not easy, especially for children and teens. For the sake of everyone in our community, please follow social distancing guidelines and remember to “do the five.”

If they haven’t done so already, our classroom teachers will be reaching out shortly to check in with students. We’re all in this together, and we will persevere!
