Local musician Mark Todd rocks NEW Music Recording Studio this summer, one of the 60 amazing Summer Enrichment Program offered by the Carlsbad Educational Foundation! Students will become recording artist in Music Recording Studio where they will learn the tricks of the trade and then use unique software to produce and engineer their own original music. Songwriters also create their own hits in Intro. to Guitar and Songwriting with CUSD music teacher Lisa Harper. In Guitar and Songwriting musicians learn simple guitars chords and lyric writing skills to rock your own original songs. Sign up for both for a full day of music! Rather rock behind the camera? FX Camp: Movie Makeup and Spotlight on Costuming are more new middle school camps offered this summer by CEF. In FX Camp, taught by professional FX makeup artist Autumn Conquest, visual effects makeup is molded and sculpted to transform actors into characters. In Spotlight on Costuming, a fun spin off of summer favorite Project Runway, original costumes and props are created based on daily challenges. If behind the camera is where you like to be then you’ll love Movie Makers where cameras are in the hands of students to create original short films with students from the award winning CHSTV! These are just a few of the 60 summer classes offered at the CEF Summer Enrichment Program. Financial Aid is available! For more information and to enroll visit www.CEFAcademy.org, or contact CEF at 760-929-1555.
