Cinema Series of Carlsbad Presents "Dallas Buyers Club"

The Cinema Series of Carlsbad spotlights independent and critically acclaimed films and is held at the Carlsbad City Library Ruby G. Schulman auditorium on select Saturdays of the month. Cinema Chat starts at 1:30 p.m., film screening at 2 p.m.

Cinema Series of Carlsbad presents a special screening of “Dallas Buyers Club” (2013, R, 117 min.) starring Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner and Jared Leto.

A biographical drama based on electrician and hustler Ron Woodroof (McConaughey) who works around the system in the mid-1980s to help AIDS patients get the medication they need after he is also diagnosed with the disease.
