CUSD Public Comment Process

Beginning with the October 14, 2020 meeting, Carlsbad Unified School District has implemented a new way for members of the public to provide comments during meetings of the Board of Trustees: live comments by phone.

To make comments via phone during the meeting, please sign up online no later than 12:00 pm on the day of the meeting. See instructions on how to comment by phone. No speakers will be accepted after 12:00 pm on the day of the meeting.

Here is the link to sign up online. The Board agenda and other information can be found on the Board’s webpage.

Please note there are time limitations for public comment (three minutes for each speaker, not to exceed 30 minutes for each agenda item). Comment times may be shortened, and/or the Board may change the time limits for comments depending on the number of comments received.

If you wish to provide written comments for the Board to review, e-mail your comments to michelle.bell@carlsbadusd.net no later than noon on the day of the meeting. The public is encouraged to submit feedback at least 24 hours before the meeting to allow time for Trustees to review the comments. Emailed comments will not be read out loud during the meeting and will not be published online.
