District Officials Recommend Keeping Buena Vista Open
The school board still needs to vote on the recommendation that BV stay open while Carlsbad Village and Seaside Academies move to Carlsbad High.

Thursday afternoon released the agenda for the Board of Trustees meeting on April 18 that will decide the fate of Buena Vista Elementary and two alternative high schools.

He does not ask for Buena Vista to close. According to the North County Times, "the administrators decided it was best to keep Buena Vista Elementary open and to try to boost enrollment with a magnet program focused on technology. They also are recommending the expansion of the preschool program there."
