Calavera Regional Nature Preserve Canyoneer Hike

See Mount Calavera is the only visible volcanic plug in San Diego, with ocean views to Catalina Island. Except for a 200-foot steep stretch, most of the walk is flat.

Directions: From the I-5 in Oceanside, exit east on Hwy. 78. Right on College Blvd. At the second stop, turn left on Lake Dr. After about 1 mile, turn right on Skyhaven Lane and follow the road until you see the Canyoneer host. Street parking, no restrooms.
