Carlsbad Police Offers Parenting Program

Carlsbad Police Department is offering a 10-week course called Parent Project starting March 22, 2011. 

The award-winning Parent Project is a parenting skills program designed for parents facing the challenges of strong-willed, non-compliant or out-of-control children ages 11-18.  These are the children who consistently test limits, argue, break house rules or engage in dangerous, high-risk or self-destructive behaviors.  The Parent Project program offers parents concrete, no-nonsense solutions to even the most difficult of problems. 

Classes will be held for 10 consecutive Tuesday nights from 6 to 9 p.m. starting March 22, 2011, at the , 799 Pine Avenue.  The fee for the class materials is $25 per individual or $35 per couple; there is no cost for active military families.
