For the majority of parents, the birth of a child is a miraculous day, filled with joy and celebration. For parents who have children born with health issues or complications, the day is full of worry all the while trying to celebrate and bond with their new arrival.
This was the case for Carson’s parents. Carson was born premature. His underdeveloped lungs, combined with a severe infection caused him to become very ill, and required him to be hospitalized in the NICU at Rady’s Children’s Hospital. Carson’s parents, Jessica and Derek, now look back in gratitude one year later for the care they received at Rady’s. Carson is preparing to celebrate his first birthday and is a very happy little boy!
Please join us for a wonderful family event to honor and celebrate how lucky we are to have the Rady Children’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit here in San Diego!
