The City of Carlsbad is now accepting registration forms from 1st and 2nd grade boys and girls for the 2012 Mity Basketballers League. This program will provide a framework for sportsmanship and fair play, while teaching the fundamentals of the sport. All practices and games will be at Calavera Hills Community Center, playing on a court with 8-foot baskets with a junior size basketball(27.5 in.). Children will meet two days a week for one hour anytime between 3:30-6:30 p.m. during the afternoon, with practices on Tuesdays and games on Thursdays. Players must attend assessment on March 24, 2012 at Calavera Hills Community Center, between 10 and 11:30 a.m. Volunteer Coaches will be needed.
