CARLSBAD, CA — The Flower Fields are in peak bloom in Carlsbad.
There are 48 acres of giant tecolote ranunculus, a flower known for its large, double-petaled blooms, creating a rainbow of color at The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch. The peak bloom usually spans about two weeks, making it an ideal time for a first-time or return visit to the ranch.
"Be prepared to be awestruck, and elevate your mood with a visit to The Flower Fields," Fred Clarke, general manager of The Flower Fields, told Patch.

This season's theme is "Spring into Color," which is fitting because Clarke expected it to be a colorful season back in January when the first ranunculus bloomed.
"This year, the fields are really coming along nice," he told Patch at the time.
