Free Little Explorers Festival Returns To Carlsbad This Saturday

CARLSBAD, CA — Families looking for a free way to kick off summer can head to Carlsbad this weekend for the Little Explorers Festival at Plaza Paseo Real.

The family-friendly event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in the shopping center's upper-level courtyard at 6941-6985 El Camino Real.

Organizers said the festival will feature hands-on activities, music and interactive entertainment for children of all ages.

Among the activities planned is a Mini Makeover Station where children can decorate their own tote bags. Kids can also visit the Color Chemistry Station to create a take-home "liquid science" bottle using color mixing, density layering, glitter and pipettes.

An Explorer Prize Station will offer giveaway items while supplies last.
