Gypsie is a 1-year and 3-month-old, 47-pound, female, Shepherd mix.
She was transferred from a rescue partner in the Imperial Valley through FOCAS (Friends of County Animal Shelters.)
She had hip surgery when she arrived, then spent almost a month in foster care. Her foster says she has the energy of a puppy. Gypsie loves kisses. When you pet her, Gypsie melts into you. She could live with kids 10 or older.

The $145 adoption fee for Gypsie includes medical exam, spay, up to date vaccinations, registered microchip, and a one-year license if her new home is in the jurisdiction of San Diego Humane Society.

October is “Dating and Domestic Violence Awareness Month.”
On Thursday, October 19th from 5:00 to 6:30 PM representatives of the Animal Safehouse Program at Rancho Coastal Humane Society will attend the Domestic Violence Speak Out and Candlelight Vigil at California State University – San Marcos at 333 South Twin Oaks Valley Road.
The event will raise awareness, remember victims, and celebrate survivors.
There will be a keynote speaker, survivor testimonies, poetry and creating a space for social change. The evening will conclude with a candlelight vigil in honor of those harmed and/or murdered due to dating and domestic violence.
