Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront and Chandler's Restaurant Opens Thursday
The 215-room hotel has ocean views and already has 12 weddings booked.
The only Hilton resort in north San Diego County opens this week in Carlsbad.
It features contemporary Craftsman architecture and killer ocean views. It's located on Ponto Road right across from camp grounds on highway 101.
Along with 215 rooms is 25,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and wedding space. Prior to opening there are already 12 weddings booked at the resort.

The resort's ocean views are taken full advantage of. The fitness center has pool and ocean views, and the saline-treated pool has ocean views as well.
Chandler's Restaurant and Lounge also features dining with a view and outdoor lounging around seating areas and a fire pit. The restaurant is open breakfast, lunch, and dinner and serves coastal regional cuisine of acclaimed international chef Pascal Vignau. There is also a wine room.

Around the resort is artwork by nature photographer Aaron Chang, a San Diego resident and one of the most recognized names in surf photography according to Surfline.
For the kids, there is a splash pool and seasonally there will be stuffed animals for the children at check-in and special use of the water-wall for viewing movies at the pool.
For the adults there is surfboard storage and a 5,600 square foot spa on the premises.
Guests of all ages will be able to enjoy easy access to Ponto Beach with beach chairs, umbrellas and towels available for beach visits.
City of Carlsbad's mayor Matt Hall will be on hand Thursday evening for the official ribbon cutting ceremony and welcoming of the resort's first guests.
