Hot Rods Roll Into Carlsbad: Photos Of The Day

CARLSBAD, CA — Patch reader and Carlsbad resident Jan Hale captured these photos of hot rods during the Hot Rods and Cool Treats Carnival. The event was held Saturday in Carlsbad.

The classic car show and carnival featured 30 classic cars, vintage carnival games, an ice cream bar, live music, crafts, face painting and a fun zone.

It was the city's third year hosting the event, which "was created to be intergenerational," the city's special events supervisor, Rachel Shay, told Patch.

"Grandparents can show off the classic cars of their era to their grandchildren," she said.
