A heat advisory means that heat-related illnesses are possible because of the hot temperatures. Weather officials advised residents to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air conditioning, stay out of the sun and check in on relatives and neighbors. Officials also reminded residents to never leave kids or pets unattended in cars.
