Local Artists Sought For 2026 Carlsbad Biennial Exhibition

Selected works will be featured in a curated group exhibition at the Cannon Art Gallery.

CARLSBAD, CA — The city of Carlsbad is seeking emerging and established local artists to participate in the 2026 biennial exhibition at the Cannon Art Gallery.

The exhibition, titled "everywhere home," will explore the different ways people experience and define a sense of home. Artists can submit works in a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, fiber art, installation and mixed media.

Applications will be accepted through Aug. 31. There is no application fee, and artists may submit one work for consideration.

Submissions must include a photo of the work, a description and a loan agreement. Selected works will be featured in a curated group exhibition at the Cannon Art Gallery.

Artists will be notified of selections Sept. 9. The exhibition is scheduled to run Oct. 23 through Jan. 3, 2027, with an artist reception and awards ceremony set for Nov. 7.
